How to List a Product

Overview

Wax Trader uses a catalog-based listing system. Instead of creating a product from scratch, you search our existing catalog of sealed trading card products and create a listing for an item that is already in the catalog. This ensures consistent product pages and makes it easy for buyers to compare prices across sellers.

Step 1: Find the Product

From your seller dashboard, go to the "Listings" section and click "Add Listing" or "List a Product." Use the search bar to find the product you want to sell. You can search by product name, brand, sport, or year.

Step 2: Set Your Price

Enter the price you want to sell the item for. You will see a fee breakdown showing the base 5% platform fee (eligible tier sellers may pay less) and estimated Stripe processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), so you know exactly what your net payout will be. Pricing tips: check the current market price and other sellers' listings to price competitively.

Step 3: Set Quantity & Condition

Enter the quantity you have available to sell. All products on Wax Trader must be factory-sealed and unopened. If you have multiple units, set your quantity accordingly — your listing will remain active until all units are sold or you deactivate it.

Step 4: Publish

Review your listing details and click "Publish" to make it live on the marketplace. Your listing will immediately be visible to buyers on the product page. You can edit or pause your listing at any time from your seller dashboard.

Managing Your Listings

From your seller dashboard you can:

• Edit the price or quantity of any active listing.
• Pause a listing to temporarily hide it from buyers.
• Delete a listing (soft delete — it will no longer appear on the marketplace).
• View listing performance including views and sales.

Product Not in Catalog?

If the product you want to sell is not yet in our catalog, you can request to add it directly from your seller dashboard at Add a Product. Simply fill out the product details and submit — our team will review and approve it. We are constantly expanding the catalog to include new releases and products across all supported sports and brands.
